The first round of the 2025 tournament saw a flood of early exits in SW19 (23 of the 64 seeded players were knocked out). Some of these upsets were at the hands of French players, like Arthur Rinderknech’s incredible victory over two days against Alexander Zverev (7-6(3) 6-7(8) 6-3 6-7(5) 6-4).
