Clément Mahoudeau: Loïs Boisson faces Anhelina Kalinina on Thursday, May 29 in the second round of the tournament. Coming back from injury and having benefitted from a wild card, Loïs was ranked No.361 in the world at the time. She swept aside her Ukrainian opponent, ranked 105th, 6-1, 6-2 in an hour. She remained placid throughout the match, showing no particular expression until just after match point, when she launched into a furious ultra celebration. It was the first moment I was able to see her particular determination.
