Another American to hit the comeback trail was Madison Keys, who racked up a career-best ten straight wins during her time in Australia, beating the likes of Paula Badosa and Barbora Krejcikova along the way. Though she was powerless to halt the Ash Barty juggernaut, she can take satisfaction from reaching her fifth Grand Slam semi-final.
